IRAQ

A collection of scenes and moments from my news assignment in Iraq in June and July 2016.

The Iraqi military had broken ISIS’s grip on all but one city, the country’s second largest Mosul.  But as Iraqi forces prepared for an assault on the terror group’s stronghold, ISIS again demonstrated that though were losing ground militarily they could still strike with deadly suicide attacks targeting civilians in the heart of the capital Baghdad.
